The Page of Cups is the eleventh card of the Suit of Cups in the Minor Arcana. A regular tarot deck contains 78 cards, separated into two groups: 22 Major Arcana cards (big life lessons) and 56 Minor Arcana cards (day-to-day happenings). There are four suits of 14 cards each, called the Minor Arcana: Wands, Cups, Swords and Pentacles. Cups stand for water, emotions, love, relationships and intuition.
As the first of the court cards, the Page sits after the Ten's lasting joy and before the Knight. It shows a young person in a flowered tunic standing by the sea, holding a cup from which a small fish peeks out. The Page looks at the fish with curiosity, as if it had just spoken. The Page of Cups is the card of tender feelings, creative ideas and gentle messages. It is not yet a mature love or a finished project. It is a spark of wonder, and it is up to you to listen to it.

General: The Page of Cups is a water card. Something soft and curious is stirring in your heart. You may feel a rush of inspiration, a sweet message or a quiet sense that you should try something new. Treat this feeling like a young, shy friend: be gentle and let it speak. You do not need to understand it fully, only to give it room.
In love: For single people, this card brings a sweet new attraction, a romantic message or a crush that feels playful and sincere. In a relationship, it signals tenderness, small gestures and a return of curiosity. It is a good time to write a note, plan a surprise or say what you feel. It can also point to news of a pregnancy or a heartfelt confession.
Career: The Page of Cups is a good omen for creative and caring work. It may be a new idea, a job offer, a course or a project that lets you use your imagination. You may also be learning from a mentor. Trust your instincts, and be willing to start as a beginner.
Money: Financially, this card suggests small, happy gains, such as a gift, a creative sale or good news about payment. Enjoy it, but do not let enthusiasm replace planning. Keep your budget clear as you chase new ideas.
In health: The Page of Cups points to emotional healing through play, art and gentle self-care. Creative hobbies, time near water, journaling and talking about your feelings all help. Your body relaxes when your inner child feels safe.
Spirituality: This card is a sign of awakening intuition. Dreams, symbols and small signs may speak to you more clearly. You may feel drawn to a new practice such as meditation, tarot or art. Stay open and curious.
Generally: Reversed, the fish hides and the Page looks away. You may be feeling moody, oversensitive or unsure of your own feelings. It can also mean creative blocks, emotional immaturity or ignoring your intuition. The card does not say your feelings are wrong. It says you need to understand them before they run the day.
In love: Reversed, the Page of Cups can mean mixed signals, jealousy, a crush that goes nowhere or fear of showing your feelings. In a relationship, it may show up as sulking, avoidance or expecting a partner to guess what you need. Honest, kind words clear the air.
In the workplace: This card may point to a lack of inspiration, a creative block or a message that is delayed or unclear. You may also be taking criticism too personally. Take a break, and then return with a small, playful step.
Money: Financially, the Page of Cups reversed can mean impulse spending, emotional purchases or an unrealistic money dream. Pause before you buy or invest, and ask whether the choice is practical.
In health: Reversed, this card may signify mood swings, anxiety or suppressed emotions. Small, regular habits help most. If low mood or worry continues, speak to a doctor or counsellor.
In spirituality: You may doubt your intuition or feel cut off from your inner voice. Do not force a sign. Rest, journal and let your sense of wonder return in its own time.
If it is upright: It is a green light for curiosity. A gentle message, idea or feeling is arriving. Say yes to it. Write, draw, reach out or simply listen to what your heart is saying. Remember that the Page is a beginning. The other court cards show how this feeling grows, from the romantic Knight to the caring Queen and the wise King.
If it is reversed: Stop and ask what you are feeling and why. Look for fear of being hurt, creative doubt or moods that need a name. Be kind to yourself, and take one small step, such as writing down your thoughts or talking to a trusted friend, instead of hiding.
The Page of Cups opens the court cards of the Suit of Cups. It brings sensitivity, creativity and good news in relationships, career, money, health and spirit. Reversed, it points to moodiness, blocks and insecurity, and asks you to understand your feelings with patience. The message is the same either way: your heart speaks in small, strange ways, and it is worth listening.
Each card in the Suit of Cups marks its own stage, from the Ace to the King.
